Deb and her hubby Dan have been vibration plate enthusiasts since 2007. A bad knee and more than a few extra pounds had Deb seeking alternatives to knee surgery while Dan suffered with back issues.. Fast forward 14 years, 2 kids, 3 studios and thousands of hours of hands on applications, they are now well versed in Vertical and Pivotal movement and Master Certified Trainers in both. There are few brands she hasn't owned or worked in some capacity. As an Independent Coach/Advocate, Deb now passionately supports clinics, gyms and users at home worldwide in both fitness & medical applications. Deb never did have surgery on that bad knee and has lost more than a few of those extra pounds. She brings a simple, functional approach to her programs and will supports any type of vibration plate in any environment. Deb can offer recommendations for both and complimentary tech.
Vibration "Exercise" or "Therapy" for the most part is fairly misunderstood even feared by some. It's what you do on one of them to gain the benefits you are looking for where qualified guidance is key.
Don't think of them as a machine, think of them as an environment. One that makes exercise positions easier, in less time and with less effort by the user.
Micro movements engage different muscle groups at varying frequencies providing a range of benefits. This form of training is very low impact and can be used in the most passive of ways. It offers hope for so many that cannot tolerate traditional exercise.
Manufacturers and online retailers have to a degree been the main source of information for consumers researching this technology. Its not uncommon to see your first vibration machine at a show before you would ever see it at your PT or Chiro's office.
Passive use offers a range of benefits and can boost the effects of other therapies/activities when used as a warm up prior or to accelerate recovery afterwards.
